2010 Coastal Cup Polo and Hat Order FormImportant Race Notice:
The Coastal Cup is a category 2 event and therefore requires all entries to comply with the ISFA US Sailing's Safety at Sea Seminar certification regulation.
Race Description
The Coastal Cup returns to the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. Though little more than an hour north of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara is an oasis of peace and quiet on the warm, sandy California coast. The Spanish architecture and rugged mountains sloping down to the sea combine to give the city a distinctively Mediterranean flavor, and make it a tourist favorite.
Racing down the coast to Santa Barbara is fun and challenging, featuring a wide range of conditions - from the unpredictable upwind beat out past Land's End, the white knuckle spinnaker reaching off the treacherous Pt. Conception and Pt. Sur, to ghosting in the light morning breezes through the Channel Islands to finish off Santa Barbara. There is truly something to satisfy every sailing appetite.
Please consult this page for further updates and for race results in the coming weeks and months.
There will be a one day Safety at Sea seminar on Sunday June 13, 2010 at the Encinal Yacht Club in Alameda. The cost will be $150 and is currently limited to 40 people. Registration will start at 0800. The seminar will run from 0830 to 1700 with lunch provided. See the Encinal Web page for more information or contact Matthew Dean at coastalcup@encinal.org or at https://regattalog.com/eyc/sas2010
